We created this version, version2, to give portal owners like you much greater flexibility to display the specific auctions that you choose. In addition, including the 3 advertising areas along with a Rich Text Editor ...it would be impossible to have a clone of anybody elses portal.

A: Of course. You may change/add/delete text. Change the graphics, banners, titles, add articles etc. to make it in your own style and flavor. We strongly suggest that you do not change the basic layout of the site UNLESS you are familiar with php and are familiar with HTML coding. We have marked within the source code, areas which you may wish to alter/change banners, add/delete text etc. There is NO NEED to change anything. The markings are there to make it easier for you if you choose to make changes.

A: Many "websites for sale" are actually making their profit from your hosting contract.
We are not in the hosting business. After winning our auction, we will include names of hosting companies we recommend. You are free to purchase your hosting from any company you choose. Hosting will cost you (+ -) $5.00 - $15.00 per month

A: You are licensed to create as many portals as you wish on a single domain name. We will ask your domain name at setup.
You may create as many SUB-domain ( EG: www.CONSUMER-ELECTRONICS.your-very-own-domain-1.com/) or folder portals ( www.your-very-own-domain-1.com/consumer-electronics/ ) as you wish, on the specified domain.

A: Of course you may resell each purchased top level category one time as a developed portal
( your specified domain name included)
It would be the same as if you owned a shoe store. Of course you may sell your shoe store...but only once.
You are not given the right to franchise, copy your portal ( except for one backup copy ), sell it in any partial or deconstructed form including but not limited to the php script or XML parser, give it away, nor rights to resell your portal, all components inclusive, more than one time.

Please note, to combat scammers and resellers from remarketing our portals as their own, only 1 domain name containing developed portal(s) may be sold per 6 months. We monitor and strictly enforce all copyright infringements.

A: It really couldn't get much easier. The auction datafeeds are supplied and auto-updated by eBay.
As we mention on our main sales page, if you can use your email program, you'll easily be able to create your own portal with Easy Portal Creator

Creating your portal pages is a snap as you are simply entering keyphrases/ keywords into a text field, pressing save and you're great to go!

Keep in mind however, this IS A BUSINESS. All businesses need promotion. While many websites for sale promise you easy money without work - frankly it's a load of crap.

This business will need promotional time from you....just like any other business.
With that said...Can I make good money doing affiliate marketing?
YES you absolutely can. We do very well with affiliate marketing.
But like any business, it takes time and effort.
This is not a get rich overnight deal. They don't exist.


A: The portal pages are all .PHP and min PHP requirements are PHP 4.X. ( Linux servers ) This is not for Windows servers. There are no SQL databases to worry about. There are a few files that require CHMOD permission changes. You will need MOD_Rewrite enabled on your server to take advantage of the search engine friendly URLs generated. Your portal will function fine without Mod_rewrite however.
You will receive a .ZIP file containing your portal creator's files plus a folder with images and instructions for uploading and useage.

In addition, we want you to be happy and successful using Easy Portal Creator, and we are available to assist you with any questions you may have.

A: Easy Portal Creator currently functions only with eBay.com ( U.S.)
We do plan to give it the ability to handle all country specific eBay programs.
We will send updates - free of charge - to all existing Portal Creator oweners

A: You bet you can. Simply replace the current AdBrite code with the code from the provider of your choice. You could place anything you like there ( as long as it fits) it doesn't have to be contextual ads - although they are a good multi-facet revenue stream.

A: Of course, anywhere you wish. IN ADDITION, Adbrite actually allows you to sell YOUR OWN adverts within their contextual system for any price you wish. Those ad buyer's advertisements will be shown on your website for a given period of time set by you. Nice revenue producer!

Think ahead and thoroughly READ any domain and hosting company's terms of service before purchasing. Somewhere in the future, you may wish to do other things with your domain and hosting that may or may not be allowed or available by a given company.
Most have no restrictions, some do. Some host packages have more features than others.


2. Sign up with eBay Affiliate Program ( eBay Partner Network), if you are not already an eBay affiliate. If you live in the U.S., acceptance into the program will probably not be a problem, but if you live outside of the U.S. be certain they will accept you.
   ( Please note, Easy Portal Creator currently functions only with the eBay.com ( U.S. eBay).
